November, 2006 The Results are in!!Well the elections are over, and the results are in and it's good news. Except the Rick Perry got relected as governer here in Texas,
Almost everything that a lot of us had hoped for came true. In dallas, particularly, every Republican judge was voted out of office, including
Henry Wade jr!
Well that is some damb good news. I guess only time will tell the tale, as what these newly elected officals actually do with their new posts really is what matters. But all in all, I think today we are better off now, and for those of us that voted we should feel good that we live in a democracy. It's obvious from what we are seeing across the country, many of us are fed up with what we have been getting from our elected officials. And it shows....
And its amussing to see how little coverage fox news is giving to the real story of the day. Fair and balanced, my big white ass!!!
June, 2006 Shields up!So North Korea might be in the final stages of preperations for a possible missle test, and the missle is believed to be capable of reaching the US. Is this really a problem? Many countries around the world have the technology and the capabilities to strike the US via ICBM. Why is this such a big deal? And to make it seem all the more serious, the military announces that they have activated the "Global missle defense system". So I guess that is supposed to mean that we really think the North koreans are trully whack-ball lunatics, and finally after years of hard work they are finally ready to launch a full scale attack with one missle (test model) to finally show America who's the boss. Seriously, North Korea's Government might not see eye to eye with America, but anybody with half a brain knows that it would be suicide for them to launch a premetive limited Ballistic missle attack against us.
So I think it's pretty clear that we all have very little to fear from this possible event. Now Japan certainly does have to take this development very seriously, on the other hand. Since WWII Japan has probably not done enough to heal the wounds caused by Japanese war crimes against the Korean's and the Chinesse. This is no doubt a major source of tension in this region, and without the US military presence the prospects for peace are very grim no doubt in this situation. Of course, North and South Korea are still Technically at war to this day (and therefor so are we), so this make a good case for American concern about Ballistic Missles in North Korea. Still, I find it hard to believe that the North Korean's would be actually be planning to use a missle test as a cover for a sneak attack on America or anybody else. Almost as ridicoulous to me is the fact that our leaders here seem to think we really are under threat, or that people will actually think there is a threat. It's embarrassing to think that we have elected people to lead us who seem to be far less intelligent that the mean of the whole. June, 2006 1.2 trillion for guns and ammoLast year 1.2 Trillion Dollars was spent on military budgets around the world. The US accounted for 49% of that. What are we affraid of so much that we had to spend that much money on Guns and Bombs? The Cold war ended everywhere else in 1990, except here in America. And now we are told by groups like Project for A New American Century, that we are now involved in the 'long war' that may never end. This is starting to get ridiculous in my view. Are we really the protectors of peace and freedom, or are we the greatest threat to peace? We sit here in our homes relatively free and safe from the horrors of war, while in many place around the world our weapons and bombs 'protect' everyone else from the destruction and death those same weapons are designed to do. We are the worlds largest arms producer, and the largest consumer of them at the same time. Put another way, we arm ourselves and everyone else with the tools of warfare, so that war can more easily be brought to bare against eachother. To put this into perspective, look at how governments deal with another problem and how it is addressed. People believe that drugs are a poison to people, and therefor have pursued a policy of erradiction of the source of the drugs as a 'cure' for that problem. Eliminate the source of the supply, and you stop their use regardless of the demand (suppossedly). But when it comes to war and aggression, we practice a policy totally opposite. Instead of limiting the weapons available to wage war, we flood the world market with record numbers of tools and technology for fighting one another. It seems to me that the affect of this would be war everywhere anytime, with higher numbers of causualties and greater destruction (proportionate to the increase in effectiveness and quantity of weaponry available) accross the board. It seems like if we wanted to promote peace we would first eliminate the capabilities of our 'enemies' to wage war by cripiling their ability to fight in the first. But then again, Who are 'they, their, or them' anyway? April, 2006 What is Dangerous?Wow, I found this site by following a link from americanantigravity.com.
It is site that poses a question to leading people in the acadamia, the sciences, authors, etc. This years question is 'What is you dangerous idea?'
It is very interesting to read what people think is dangerous. Most of what is spoken about relates to issue that will affect all of us who live/will live in this 21st century. Very intriguing and thought provoking to say the least. I am a bit surprised by the view of many, which seems to make the assumption that there is no god, sort of an evolutionist point of reference. Still there is much to read and think about here. I highly recomend this site, and I would encourage anyone who finds this posting and follows the link, to read on despite of the fact that much of the material is written by people who think on a high intellectuial level. The ideas are there, but it may take some effort to decipher some 'big words', as some peoople might say.
BTW, if you have ever said to someone "Im not used to hearing so many 'big words'" you might be a red kneck!
JJ April, 2006 Anti-AIDS 'microbicidal' GelI just read about a new aids prevention agent being developed that is similar to spermacidal foam/gel, except that it destroys the aids virus only. Apperently this product has been in development for 15 years, and is just now in clinical trials. Supposidly this product will not be available for atleast 4 more years at the earliest. Now this seems like great news, but I have to question a few different things about this story. First of all, It seems strange that the multi-billion dollar pharmacutical industry, which was able to pump out Cialis and lavitra only 2 or 3 years after viagra hit the market has still not produced a anti-viral gel that could be a huge weapon against the spreaad of HIV. after 15 years there is not a working product available to people OTC? the artilce mentioned this surprising fact. Here is the link to the article...
Pay particular attention to the last portion of the article.
It basically says that the pharmacutical companies have not focused much attentnion to researching this potential life saver because it was deemed 'unprofitable'. This is a serious allegation, if you asked me. I am outraged. How many more people have to die before these companies invest a little of thier billion dollar profit margins into 'the spirit of helping our fellow man'. I mean if I can be arrested for being cruel to a stray animal on the street or neglecting a pet that I already own, how can these people be allowed to get away with that kind of neglect?
Im not a big advocate of government invtervention into peoples lives, but this is a situation that I believe warrents a little government input/oversite. Unbelievable.

Matt 24:12
Even though the future is bleak, and common sense tells you that we are marching on a fatefull path to fullfill these 2000 year old prophecies we must remember to always make the most of everything and everyday. Don't let yourself be discouraged. It may seem pointless to do those things you have always wanted to do, and this is perfectly ok if you feel this way. Remember we are constantly ambushed by a jaded and diseased world that is often cold, heartless, and relentlessly cruel. Follow your first hearts desire, Else your own love will grow cold. Dont deny yourself of these things, it could be the only future that for you will bring happiness among all things that won't.

February, 2006 State of The UnionIn the State of the Union address lastnight, Our elected leader ,George Bush, once again pounded out the same rehtoric he has been force feeding all of us for going on 5 years now. He continues to play on those irrational fears about terrorist coming to America, threatening our peace and our way of life. He even has the nerve to suggest that our freedom and our liberties and our security rest upon the success and failure of our ability to stop those he calls 'evil'. 'The enemies of Freedom' as he puts it, are those who mean to cause us harm here and abroad, if you believe what Mr. Bush has to say. Yet, his administration has a track record of violating basic civil liberties granted by our Bill of Rights, all in the name of his so called 'Freedom'. Benjamin Franklin once said "those who would be willing to sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither', and to me this is a "A truth which is self evident" and I hold it to be dear. Mr Bush's concept of freedom and liberty are in my view more akin to my concept of evil, personified by our current national paranoia contrived from those events which have led us to where we now stand. We must not allow our elected leaders to continue to marginalize us in this way. The future of our America hangs in the balance. January, 2006 Banks Are preparing for a National Crisis? What do you think the average working joe of this country would do if he heard (and believed what he heard) that Bank of America, Compas, and Wells Fargo were secretly preparing for the possibility of a total colapse of our financial/economic system, and have been instructed by 'Homeland Defense' not to release precious goods/weapons/cash to thier customers in the event all hell breaks loose. First of all, this is exactly what has been happening, apparently, and it's being done queitly, while foreign investors and wealthy Americans have been steadily shifting large amounts of wealth to overseas banks. It makes sense to be prepared incase of a worse case scenario breaks out, but why not tell the public at large so if it did happen people everywhere could have a back up plan? Seems fishy to me.
Here is the story I read, Decide for yourself
January, 2006 Beam WeaponsYeah,
And this time it is not me talking about them. See for yourselves.....
August, 2005 If Hitler has wings, Then Bush has a TailIf Hitler was such a bad guy, why do we hear so much about him? Certainly, there are plenty of hero's from the past that could be glorified and thought of as people to 'strive to be like'. But when anyone talks about history, somehow his name or his Nazi Germany always ends up getting spun into the discussion. I think Adolf Hitler may be the most famous man in the history of Mankind.
July, 2005 UFO's Over Mexicocheck this one out, you'll have to see it for your self but it's freaky. For the past month or so, 'Fleets" of UFO's have been spotted in several places in Mexico and south america. Check this photo out....
You can read the whole story story and watch several amature home video's shot during the incidents which accured between june and july. Whats most ineteresting about this story is that the 'fleets' have been spotted in several Mexican citys, and as far south as argentina and Columbia!. Here is the link to the site:
